What Is Home Efficiency Rebate Plus?
The Home Efficiency Rebate Plus (HER+) program allows homeowners to claim rebates on eligible retrofits in their home such as insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps, and renewable energy systems. The Canada Greener Homes Initiative has teamed up with Enbridge Gas with the ultimate goal of helping homeowners save money, create new jobs, and fight climate change. The program is set to begin in January 2023 and will last until 2027.
Do I Qualify?
All Canadian homeowners are eligible for the Canada Greener Homes Grant program as long as they own and reside in their homes. The co-delivery of this program through the HER+ in Ontario will allow eligible homeowners to access the benefits of both programs through a single application regardless of their home heating fuel type. You do not need to be an Enbridge customer to be eligible for these programs.
How to Apply
Before you start any renovation work, you must complete a home energy assessment with a Registered Energy Advisor. Answer a few short questions to find a Registered Energy Advisor in your area. Visit the Enbridge Gas website to learn more about applying to the program.
